Helping Children To Grow In Faith
Helping children to grow in their faith and relationship with God is very important to us at St. Matthew. Each week at the 10:00 am Sunday service, after the greeting children are welcome to leave the Sanctuary to go to Sunday School, or for the infants and toddlers, the nursery. Children return back to the service at communion time. Parents and guardians are welcome to join their children to see what the Sunday School and nursery are all about. See below for more information.
Sunday School
Each week we explore a Bible story, enjoy fun activities, pray and grow in faith. Whether you are able to come every week or once in a while, we look forward to seeing you. Sunday School is available September to June. Please speak to Susan Porter, our Sunday School Director, for more information.
Nursery
Located in our Welcome Room, our nursery offers a safe, engaging and interactive setting for infants to age 3. Even if you don’t plan to leave your child to stay in the nursery, you are most welcome to drop in to feed or change your little one. Diane Wilton is our Nursery Supervisor and is happy to answer any questions you have.
We welcome the presence of children of all ages at our services and they are always welcome to stay and worship with their families.
All of our adult volunteers have been screened according to our diocese’s Screening in Faith policy which includes police background checks.
